- Don’t rush to present when your new slide appears in projected screen, pause for a moment for your audience to blend into the new information
- Do not create text-heavy slides, it will cause the audience to read instead of listening to you
- Do not use or test any striking color in your presentation slide which will make it harder to read
- If you plan to use few colors in your slide, try to use it with the maximum of 3 colors to avoid audience eyesore
- Keep using the same background color to continue the same rhythm of your presentation
- Use graphical presentation such as charts when presenting figures, and it will be far more effective than describing in words
- Picture speaks a thousand words, choose your picture for presentation and make sure it aligned to your presentation topic
- Use the same font in all the slides, changing it from slide to slide will cause audience eye confusion
- Proof read your multimedia presentation to make sure there’s no error in spelling and grammar
- Slide numbering in your multimedia presentation will be useful as timing for yourself as presenter
- Shutdown the overhead projector when you are 100% sure that you don’t need the projection of your presentation
